  • Pax JDBC implements the OSGi JDBC Service according to the OSGi Enterprise Release 5 specification. (The JDBC chapter is still at version 1.0 and thus unchanged from earlier specification releases.)
  • Pax JDBC provides a generic driver extender which registers a DataSourceFactory service on behalf of any JDBC 4.0 driver with an OSGi manifest.
  • Pax JDBC provides native driver adapters, using driver specific DataSource implementations to create a DataSourceFactory which supports all driver specific properties.

PAX JDBC 0.9.0 Released

The PAX JDBC team is happy to announce the release of OPS4J Pax JDBC 0.9.0.

This release adds DB2 DataSourceFactory and OSGi capability headers. pax-jdbc-config now supports hidden properties (starting with a dot) which are forwarded to the DataSourceFactory but are not published in the service registry.

Additionally, pax-jdbc-config only forwards local properties (not containing a dot) as well als properties prefixed with "jdbc." to DataSourceFactories. This means that non-local configuration properties like "aries.xa.name" are published in the service registry but not forwarded for DataSourceFactory instantiation.

Pax JDBC artifacts will be available in Maven Central.

PAX JDBC 0.6.0 Released

The Pax JDBC team is happy to announce the release of OPS4J Pax JDBC 0.6.0.

This release contains a new adapter for MS SQL Server and a number of improvements and dependency upgrades. Java 7 or higher is now required.

Pax JDBC artifacts are available from Maven Central.

Pax JDBC 0.4.0 Released

The Pax JDBC team is happy to announce the release of OPS4J Pax JDBC 0.4.0.

This release contains adapters for pooled datasources based on Apache Commons DBCP2 or Apache Aries, new JDBC driver adapters for MariaDB and Oracle, Karaf features, and upgrades for most dependencies.

Pax JDBC artifacts are available from Maven Central.
